Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber is a high speed transmission technology that uses normal telephone lines. The signal to be transmitted is divided into various sub-signals, which will be transmitted over different frequencies. ADSL uses a frequency band that is divided into sub-bands, and these frequency bands are additionally separated from each other by a safety band.
